Renowned for his dynamic soul-winning worship, nationally acclaimed worship leader BJ McKelvie has seen the miraculous manifestations of God's power many times in his own life. He decided to become a follower of Jesus Christ after agreeing to produce a Christian radio show, but his faith journey actually began a few years before that. Although a talented sound engineer with a bright future ahead of him, BJ was plagued with depression. Things got so bad that BJ decided to commit suicide and almost succeeded. At the hospital his heart stopped twice and BJ stepped over the threshold that separates life and death. What he would experience would change his life forever. His testimony of his time spent in hell would be fueled by a powerful record that would launch BJ into an international music ministry. However, all this would come to an abrupt stop in late 2006 when BJ's son was diagnosed with Autism.

BJ McKelvie quickly retreated from radio, touring & TV to be there for his son & family. He was still trying to shake off what he so desperately had been praying was a mistaken diagnosis with some short-term temporary effect on his healthy family but would quickly learn Autism chains the mind and spirit of every child who grows into the reality, locking them into their own world – unable to communicate, unable to function and unable to battle this life long disease - all alone. BJ would reappear back on the music scene in 2008 after co-writing and producing "I'm In Here". This powerful duet would quickly be adopted as the Anthem For Autism and be heard across the nation and Europe on several radio formats.

In September of 2009, BJ McKelvie would answer the call to found and Pastor Family Circle Church, Canada’s first church for children, individuals and families dealing with special needs. His new found calling would fan the flame to get back on radio and TV to once again share his testimony and help people find way's through faith and bio-medical research to help parents re-connect with their children.

BJ McKelvie is set to release his next hit single "Surrender" written & produced by multi-platinum and gold record winner Sam Mullins. This will mark the re-birth of a powerful ministry which will be stronger than ever before. This will be BJ's 15th song on radio, preceded by other such hits as Accept Me As I Am, Humble Adoration, Destiny and many others.
